Parking Attendant - Halifax

We are currently seeking a motivated, reliable, and outgoing team player to join our Parking Patrol and Customer Service team, located in Dartmouth.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

During your shift, you will be responsible for completing a variety of curbside direction, general cleaning, customer service, and patrol duties at one or more of our parking locations. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Assisting guests with general information and directions.
  • Directing patients, visitors, staff and others to appropriate parking areas.
  • Conducting on-foot/electric scooter parking enforcement throughout the parking lot, including monitoring compliance with parking regulations and addressing unauthorized or improperly parked vehicles in accordance with company policies.
  • Take ownership and leadership of the overall parking operations for the locations assigned, while abiding by the standards and norms of Indigo.
  • Provide assistance in person and remotely to customers in the use of the automated parking equipment, recognizing and respecting the individual needs of each customer.
  • Completing and assisting in minor equipment repairs.
  • Assuring cleanliness of the parking equipment.
  • Cleaning the work area, and parking area as needed, including key sanitization and litter pick up, wiping down touch points and dusting.
  • Responsible for adhering to all company policies and procedures
  • Other tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • High level of interpersonal skills, including poise and diplomacy.
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools for making repairs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
